İÇDAŞ Steel chooses Russula shear control to improve operations for its bar and wire rod mills

Russula is proud to be chosen by İÇDAŞ Steel, the third largest long product producer in Turkey to upgrade the shear control system for its Bar mill #3 and its two strand wire rod mill #4. There are a total of eight shears to be upgraded, four from each mill. The İÇDAŞ mills are located in Biga, in the Marmara region of Turkey.

Russula will provide the Simotion equipment, software engineering, installation supervision, commissioning and production support necessary for İÇDAŞ to upgrade the shears and improve mill operations.

Russula is honored to have the opportunity to work with İÇDAŞ on this project. In the past 6 years alone, Russula has completed 9 similar shear control upgrades for customers in Brazil, Canada, Spain, Turkey and the USA.  Four of these projects were stand-alone shear control upgrades and the other five were part of entire mill control upgrades using Simotion C240 technology.
